Nominations are invited for the post of Junior Scientific Officer in the PB-2 Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- (pre-revised pay scale of Rs.6500-200-10500/-). The post is to be filled by transfer on deputation basis. 2. The eligibility criteria (educational qualifications, experience, etc. are furnished in the enclosed Annexure – I).     Details of the post of Junior Scientific Officer in the SVP National Police Academy, Hyderabad – 500052. 1. Name of the post: Junior Scientific Officer 2. Classification of the post: General Central Service Group ‘B’ Gazetted Non-Ministerial. 3. Scale of Pay: PB-2 Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- (Prerevised pay scale of Rs.6500-200-10500/-) 4. DA, HRA & other allowances: As admissible under the Central Government Orders from time to time 5. Training Allowance (admissible only to the persons working in Government Departments): 30% on Band Pay and Grade Pay as Training Allowance reduced by the Special Pay / Deputation Allowance as per Rules. 6. Eligibility Criteria (Educational Qualifications, Experience, etc.): Transfer on deputation : (a) Officers under the Central / State Governments:- (i) holding analogous posts; OR (ii) with 3 years’ service in posts in the PB-2 Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4200/- (pre-revised pay scale of Rs.5500-9000/-) or equivalent; OR (iii) with 8 years service in posts in the PB-1 Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay of Rs.2800/- (pre-revised pay scale of Rs.4500 – 7000/-) or equivalent; And (b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:- Essential: (i) Master’s degree in Physics / Chemistry / Zoology / Bio-Chemistry / Botany / Microbiology from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) 3 years’ experience of analytical methods or research. Note: 1. Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note: 2. The Qualifications regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. Desirable: Experience of working in a Forensic Laboratory. 7. Nature of duties: Taking theory classes in Forensic Science, Forensic Toxicology and Forensic Medicine for IPS (Probationers). Taking practical classes in Forensic Science for the IPS (Probationers). Maintaining and running the Forensic Science Laboratory in the Academy. Holding demonstration classes of various techniques used in forensic Science. Looking after the crime museum of the Academy. Laying simulated exercise in the crime scene Hall. Assisting the Assistant Director (Scientific Aids) who is the overall in-charge of the Forensic Science section in the Academy. 8. Deputation: Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 03 years.
